Meatball Ingredients:
500g beef mince
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
¼ cup chopped parsley
Pinch of sea salt and cracked black pepper
Tomato Bake Ingredients:
400g tomato passata
150g mozzarella ball, chopped into thick cubes
To Serve:
Chopped parsley
Extra sea salt and cracked black pepper
Method:
Preheat oven to 180°C grill.
Combine meatball ingredients in a large bowl and roll into 12 even-sized balls.
Pan fry the meatballs in olive oil until browned and cooked through.
Transfer to a small baking dish, top with tomato passata, and wedge mozzarella between meatballs.
Grill for 10 minutes or until cheese is golden and melted.
Sprinkle with parsley, salt, and pepper to serve.
Notes & Variations:
Serve with crusty bread or over pasta.
Add chilli flakes for a spicy kick.
