Death by Chocolate Donuts
Partnership with Blue Diamond Almond Breeze
1 cup spelt flour
1/3 cup coconut sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons non dairy butter, melted
1 tablespoon flaxseed or linseed meal
3 tablespoons water
1/3 cup + 1 1/2 tablespoons Almond Breeze Chocolate Flavoured Milk
1/2 cup cocoa powder
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Chocolate Glaze Ingredients
90g non dairy chocolate
2 tablespoons non dairy butter
2 teaspoons maple syrup
2 teaspoons water
Preheat oven to 180 degrees bake.
Add the water to the flaxseed meal in a small bowl and allow to thicken over 10 minutes or so.
Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
Add the flaxseed egg and stir again until just combined.
Pour into a 6x medium donut tray and place in the oven to bake for 15 minutes or until a knife is
Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before attempting to remove them and place
them onto a wire rack.
Place all glaze ingredients into a small saucepan and bring to a simmer on the stovetop.
Remove the glaze from the stovetop and allow the glaze to thicken slightly for 5 minutes.
Dip each donut into the glaze and place back onto the wire rack to set.
Once you have dipped each donut, cover with chocolate sprinkles or sprinkles of your choice and
allow to set for a further 10 minutes.
